Black Hawk is a beautiful place to live. The City of Black Hawk is at 8042 feet but most of the population live higher at around 9000 feet. Neighborhoods include Colorado Sierra, Dory Lakes and Missouri Lakes. Taxes are super low in Gilpin County and are slow as $5-600 in Dory Lakes for a spacious home.. You can live in seclusion yet still be only 35 minutes to Golden or Boulder. You can live close to casino and entertainment and be 15 minutes to skiing in Eldora.
